FUTURE INDIA

I am so happy after looking at the election results... It shows that people of India cant be fooled anymore by some loud voices, false accusations, religious hatred etc etc... Wise people have chosen progress over politics, nationalism over religion and harmony over hatred... and those who find themselves supporting the minority party after the result, are fools and need to look a litl deeper within... because only fools are in minority, always!!!

Today, I remember and want to share the article I wrote before 2004 election (when BJP was in power and India Shining campaign was in full form), about Rahul Gandhi being introduced in the main stream politics by Congress....
=====================================================================
Read through the below article (especially the comments on the article) and then think about it before reading my comments below…

What do you say? This is what I have to say…

I have read the article published on 23rd March about Rahul Gandhi joining active politics and its effect on congress. Unfortunately, I have also read comments of people on the topic. I must say I was thoroughly disappointed reading them. I thought times site is a place for intellectuals to interact but I was not able to find even the slightest hint of “intellect” anywhere in that discussion. Infect, it was full of emotions and a lot of crap. I always thought that democracy is not about being rigid but it is about being flexible, it is about freedom. So what, if Rahul is son of Rajivji or grandson of Indiraji? Does this anyway mean that he cannot enter politics? Is politics only reserved for Advanis and Laloos and their sons (or daughters) and grandsons?

Just look at Rahul’s experience (not just in politics but in life). He is well learned, he is young, he has seen the world, he has been a financial consultant and he is an entrepreneur successfully running an IT venture. And above all, he has seen Indian politics (and upcoming of India) better and closer then anyone else (through his father’s eyes – one of the greatest visionaries of India).

I think we (the next generation of India) need to come out of the layer created by BJP (using various gimmicks like DYNASTY POLITICS, PSHEUDO-SECULARISM, HINDUTVA and now using INDIA SHINING). We need to use our own intellect and need to back these younger people like Rahul, Sachin or Navin!

Instead, what are we talking about? INDIA SHINING? Do you really believe in it? What about US? It took them more then two centuries after their independence to use the first phone or to travel in plane or to have light in their homes. Does that mean, whatever they have done before (having telephone) was of no use? It took them more then 100 presidents and governments (both democrats and republicans - yes, all are called congressmen when they are elected) to reach where they are now. And we people expect some magic by some JIN (like BJP) to give us all that in 5 years? Do you really believe in it?

Lets talk about HINDUTVA? Do we really want another GUJARAT to happen allover INDIA? I am a Hindu and a Gujarati and I am ashamed of what happened there and I can never forgive who so ever was behind it. And Secularism, democracy is always based on secularism. Congress has been and it still is a secular party. Today if BJP is talking about secularism, it is just because of votes and nothing else. (You only decide who is psheudo-secular?) They are not dependable at all. Even today, no one knows what happened to the money given by common men for the RAM MANDIR. Can anyone tell me? And what leaders are we talking about? Vajpayeeji (75+) or Advaniji (70+ just waiting for Vajpayeeji to retire so he can be the next PM). What leaders? And what kind of vision can they have for India after 10 years when they are not sure of their own life after 10 years?

I am not saying that congress is “DUDH KA DHULA”. But by promoting Rahul, or Rajesh Pilot’s son or Madhavrao Scindhia’s son, they have shown intent to change. Look at their manifesto, it suggests that they are open to change, that they have learned from their mistakes and they are futuristic.

So friends, please think about it. And forget about what is Congress’s or BJP’s vision for India after 10 years. Have your own vision about where would you like India to be after 10 years and see (before casting your precious vote) who can really fulfill that. If you feel no one is capable, then start doing something on your own. Let us come together to build our own India rather then relying on someone else to do it for us. Lets not blame others, let us do something on our own. Lets GO! Lets do IT!

LOL... how you define intellect? People who do not agree with you are not intellect?

Rahul Gandhi was project not because he was young but purely because of the bankruptcy of congress to survive without Gandhi surname. If they don't find any human, they won't mind having Sonia Gandhi's pet to lead congress...

I completely respect your freedom to have your views.. but to dubbed others as non intellect just because they don't support you, I can't agree mate!

Very encouraging... India urgently needs some young, strong & dedicated leaders. As Dr. APJ Kalam asked youths to join politics and contribute their ideas for the welfare of our Nation. Moreover, we as citizens need to take responsibility to select the right leader for us. Instead of slouching on western technologies blindly, we must have a proper blend of Modern & innovative ideas (which youths can give) along with making use of our ancient, rich culture & values with unity. There is no escape… the only way is to face it strongly and become responsible ppl like Japan …
